MRC

Our Call

Advancing the
Kingdom of God

Maranatha Reconciliation Church (MRC) is a Spirit-filled, Pentecostal church committed to fulfilling the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ. Founded in 1997 and headquartered in the vibrant city of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, MRC exists to proclaim the saving gospel of Jesus Christ with power and compassion, reaching the lost—including those from unreached and predominantly Muslim communities—throughout Tanzania, across Africa, and to the ends of the earth.

Our divine mandate is to preach the gospel of salvation, make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19–20), and plant thriving, Spirit-led churches in every region the Lord opens to us. By God’s grace, MRC has established over 100 churches across sixteen regions of Tanzania, serving as beacons of hope, healing, and restoration in both urban and rural communities.

Under the visionary leadership of Bishop Roderick Mbwambo, MRC is not only focused on evangelism and church planting, but also on equipping the saints for the work of ministry, in line with Ephesians 4:11–13. Through solid biblical teaching and spiritual mentoring, we endeavor to raise mature believers who walk in the fullness of Christ, growing in unity, faith, and the knowledge of the Son of God. Our mission is to ensure that every believer is spiritually equipped to finish the race strong and fulfill their God-given calling.

To further the work of the Kingdom, MRC operates through various ministries and service departments, including:

  • Maranatha Bible College – Training future pastors, evangelists, teachers, and missionaries to rightly to reach the unreached peoples in Tanzania, teach the Word of truth and lead with holiness, integrity and anointing.
  • Evangelism & Church Planting – MRC is passionately committed to fulfilling the Great Commission by mobilizing trained, Spirit-empowered evangelism teams to reach unreached areas—particularly among Muslim communities—where the name of Jesus is not yet known. With deep compassion and a God-given burden, our church is focused on bringing the light of the gospel to the predominantly Muslim populations living in mainland Tanzania’s coastal regions, as well as the islands of Zanzibar, Pemba, and Mafia. These areas remain among the least reached with the gospel, and it is our mission to plant vibrant, Spirit-filled churches that serve as centers of truth, healing, and transformation through the love and power of Jesus Christ.
  • Good Samaritan Outreach – Demonstrating the love of Christ through compassionate care to the poor, sick, and marginalized.
  • Operation Rehab and Drug Abuse – Ministering deliverance and restoration to those caught in prostitution and drug addiction, helping them find identity and purpose in Christ.
  • Ministries to Orphans and Widows – Upholding biblical justice by caring for the vulnerable and meeting practical needs with love.
  • Women, Youth, and Children’s Ministries – Discipling the next generation and empowering women, youth and children to walk in their God-given authority.
  • Prison Ministry – Sharing the gospel behind prison walls, bringing freedom to the captives through the power of the Holy Spirit.
  • Campus Missions – Reaching local university and college students with sound doctrine and preparing them to be witnesses in their spheres of influence.
  • Counseling and Deliverance Ministry – Providing spiritual, emotional, and support for individuals and families within and outside MRC.
  • Micro-Enterprise and Development Initiatives – Teaching the word of God to promoting economic empowerment for MRC members through starting businesses and sustainable projects.

Maranatha Reconciliation Church exists to reconcile men to God through Jesus Christ and to prepare a holy and faithful Bride for His soon return. With unwavering commitment to the Word, fervent prayer, and the leading of the Holy Spirit, we press forward in our divine assignment: to see lives transformed, communities revived, and nations discipled in Jesus’ name.
